Oliver Wight Further Boosts Finance Skills with New Recruit from Georgia Pacific
GLOUCESTER, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Andy Walker has joined Oliver Wight EAME from international paper, packaging and building products manufacturer, Georgia Pacific.

Andy has spent more than a decade working across a diverse range of business disciplines, including corporate finance, financial management, demand management; business excellence and supply chain management. He believes this will be invaluable in his new role.

As EMEA Supply Chain Director for Georgia Pacific’s ‘Away From Home’ business, Andy managed the end-to-end supply chain from the company’s offices in Brussels and was responsible for implementing the supply chain elements of an EMEA-wide Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) project, helping deliver significant cost reductions for the business.
Andy joined Georgia Pacific in 2003 as a Commercial Financial Controller, moving on to become Demand Manager and then Business Excellence Manager. In the latter role Andy project managed Georgia Pacific’s Class A accreditation and the company became one of the first in the world to achieve the Oliver Wight 6th Edition Class A standard, bringing substantial business and financial performance improvement for the organisation.
Prior to joining Georgia Pacific, Andy worked in Corporate Finance at Ernst and Young, with clients ranging from large FTSE corporations to small, owner-managed businesses, operating across a wide range of industries, including automotive, manufacturing, food, transport, technology and retailing.

Andy has an Honours Degree in Accounting and Management Control from Sheffield Hallam University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
